What is a Somatic Reset?

Somatics heals through the body — because your nervous system holds every unprocessed emotion and old pattern long after your mind has moved on.

A Somatic Reset is a guided 75-minute online session using breathwork, movement, body scanning, and nervous system regulation to help you locate where you've been holding — and gently begin to let it go.

What we'll do together

  • Ground and arrive — slow the system down, check in with what's actually present in your body right now
  • Body scan and sensation tracking — learn to notice what's moving through you without judgment or the need to fix it
  • Breathwork — conscious breathing patterns used to regulate your nervous system and begin releasing what's stored
  • Somatic movement — gentle shaking, swaying, shoulder rolls, spine waves, and body-led flow that follows sensation rather than instruction
  • Vocal toning — humming, sighing, and natural sound as a release pathway your body already knows
  • Grounding movement — simple feet, legs, and earth connection to bring you back into your body and out of your head
  • Somatic freeze release — specific breath and movement sequences to help your body come out of shutdown or numbness
  • Integration and stillness — close with a simple practice you can return to whenever you need to regulate

Her sessions are slow by design, trauma-informed in their approach, and built for anyone who is ready to feel a little more at home in themselves. She doesn't push. She doesn't perform. She simply holds the space until your body remembers it is safe.

1. I've never done anything like this before. Is this suitable for me?
Absolutely. This session is designed for complete beginners. You don't need any background in therapy, yoga, or meditation. All you need is a quiet space and a willingness to show up. Madhurima will guide you through everything.

2. What exactly will I be doing during the session?
You'll be guided through a combination of body awareness, gentle movement, breathwork, and stillness. Nothing is physically demanding — most of it can be done sitting or lying down. The pace is slow and the focus is always on what you notice, not on doing it "right."

3. Will I have to share or speak during the session?
There's no pressure to share anything you're not comfortable with. You're welcome to keep your camera off and simply be present. This is your hour — you get to decide how much you want to engage.

4. What if strong emotions come up?
That's completely normal in somatic work. Madhurima holds a trauma-informed, safe space and will guide you through anything that arises. You will never be left alone with what comes up — the session includes a full integration and closing so you leave feeling grounded, not raw.

5. How is this different from meditation or yoga?
Meditation works primarily with the mind. Yoga works with the body through form and posture. Somatics works directly with your nervous system — it's slower, more internal, and focused on sensation rather than stillness or flexibility. Many people find it reaches places meditation and yoga couldn't.

6. What do I need to join the session?
A stable internet connection, comfortable clothes, a mat or soft surface to sit or lie on, and a bottle of water. Headphones are recommended for a more immersive experience. That's it — no props, no prior experience, no preparation needed.
